BELLE — A two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Highway 28 and Highway EE left two individuals injured Friday afternoon, April 24, in Maries County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 12:22 p.m. when a 2021 Chevrolet Colorado, driven by an 82-year-old man from Belle, was making a left turn and traveled into the path of a southbound 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe.
The Tahoe was driven by a 34-year-old woman from Bland. A 2-year-old female passenger was also in the vehicle.
Both vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the scene by Big Boys Towing.
The 2-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries and was transported by a parent to Phelps Health Hospital in Rolla. The driver of the Colorado sustained moderate injuries and was transported by Osage EMS to University Hospital in Columbia.
Both drivers and the child were reported to be using safety devices at the time of the crash.
The incident was investigated by Trooper C.A. Clinton of Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop I, with assistance from Cpl. J.E. Bellers.
