Two separate Maries County crashes last week caused injuries to three people.
First, a two-vehicle crash on Highway 63 last week caused serious injuries to one man and minor injuries to another.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred at 4:08 p.m. on March 28 about 4 miles north of Vichy. A northbound 2024 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Samuel N. Berry, 25, of Summersville failed to yield to an intersection and struck a southbound 2003 freightliner driven by Billy J. Garrett, 48, of Doniphan.
A passenger in the Malibu, Timothy J. Blanks, 21, of Summersville, sustained serious injuries. Maries-Osage Ambulance District transported him to Phelps Health in Rolla. Garrett sustained minor injuries. Phelps Health Ambulance transported him to Phelps Health.
The Malibu sustained total damage. The Freightliner sustained moderate damage. C&C Towing removed them both from the scene.
Another two-vehicle crash on Highway 42 resulted in moderate injuries to a man from Dixon.
According to the MSHP report, the crash occurred at 1:30 p.m. on March 29 about 0.5 miles east Route T. A westbound 2004 Harley Davidson FXDLI driven by Bradley M. Deeken, 33, of Dixon failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the center line and struck the side of a 2010 Chevrolet Impala driven by Herbert A. Gibson, 66, of Meta.
Deeken was transported to Phelps Health in Rolla for treatment for moderate injuries. The motorcycle received extensive damage. Fast Lane Towing removed it from the scene.
The Impala sustained moderate damage. It was driven from the scene.
