Stanley Louis Benton Ridenhour, 81, of Belle, passed away at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born June 27, 1943, a son to the late Herbert and Pearl (West) Ridenhour in Owensville.

Stanley was a 1961 graduate of Belle High School.

He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army for two years, spending most of that time stationed in Germany.

He was united in marriage to Della Skouby, April 15, 1972, at the High Gate Baptist Church. Della survives of the home.

Stanley worked at Kingsford Charcoal for 10 years and then for the railroad for 24 years before his retirement.

Stanley was a member of Pilot Knob Baptist Church. He loved to hunt deer, turkeys and squirrels and enjoyed just watching them in their natural habitat. He also enjoyed fishing and having fish fries with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents, Herbert and Pearl; son, Jason Paul Ridenhour; brothers, Mac “Hadley” Ridenhour, James “Jim” Ridenhour and Ronnie Ridenhour; and sister, Shirley Ridenhour.

Stanley is survived by wife of 52 years, Della; sons, Brian Ridenhour and wife Barbara of Holts Summit and Alan Ridenhour of New Haven; grandchildren, Logan and Eliza Ridenhour; brother, Gary Ridenhour and wife Cathy of Belle; sister, Audrey Holliday of Dexter, Ky.; sisters-in-law, Deanna Ridenour and Judy Ridenhour both of Belle; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday (today), Oct. 9, from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11 a.m. at the High Gate Baptist Church with Pastor Douglas Williams officiating.

Interment with full military honors will follow in the High Gate Baptist Church Cemetery.
