BELLE — Maries County R-2 Board of Education recognized Schmid as Belle High School’s (BHS) September Student Spotlight.
BHS Principal Garrett Haslag read the nomination letter for the board, friends and family who were present.
“Tim Schmid is known throughout our school as someone who is kind, respectful, and always willing to lend a hand — especially in the shop, where he goes above and beyond to help his peers and instructors. Whether it’s assisting with a project, helping to clean up at the end of the day, or simply offering encouragement to a classmate who’s struggling, Tim is someone we can always count on.
“He treats everyone with genuine respect, listens carefully, and demonstrates a level of maturity and integrity that makes him stand out. In the classroom and the shop, Tim is a positive presence who makes our school a better place simply by being part of it.
“Perhaps most importantly, he serves as a role model to others—showing that being a good student isn’t just about grades, but about character. His willingness to step up, do the right thing, and support those around him reflects the heart of what we want for all our students.
“We are proud to recognize Tim Schmid as this month’s Student Spotlight. Congratulations, and thank you for being a shining example of what it means to be a true leader in our school.”
