Don Maggi Construction from Rolla began work this past week on construction of a new roadway (left) which will connect Springfield Road at Industrial Drive (lower right) in Owensville with the north end of Springfield which becomes Old Highway 19 north of Lakeside Book Company’s expanded warehouse addition (upper, right). The reconnection of the road was planned when Lakeside sought to expand its footprint with the 60,000 square foot roll storage facility. A portion of Lakeside’s parking lot is being used for the connecting roadway. Work is expected to continue into early October, Maggi personnel expected.
