Norma Rea Workman passed away Friday, June 16, 2023, at the age of 91.
She was born Jan. 1, 1932, to Owen Dake and Mabel (Kelley) Dake.
She loved hunting and the outdoors. She enjoyed gardening and raising her goats and cattle. Norma would love taking her grandchildren to the sale barn, and just spending time with her family. Norma was also a member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church for many years.
She was preceded in death by parents, Owen and Mabel; children’s father, Loyd Cross; second husband, George Workman; daughter, Laura Bennett; and four sisters and three brothers.
Norma will be greatly missed by daughters, Lois Owens and husband Roger of Vichy, and Loena Gerges and husband Ron of St. Louis; sister, Eula Wolf of Petersburg, Ill.; grandchildren, Rodney Gerdes and wife Caryn Miller, Douglas Gerdes, Jeannie Owens and Jessica Duehning; great-grandchildren, Bennett Duehning and Lauren Duehning; and son-in-law, Leland Bennett of Rolla; and many friends.
A funeral service for Norma Rea Workman will be conducted Wednesday (today), June 21, at 1 p.m. at Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. Interment will follow at Seaton Cemetery in Dixon. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service at 12 p.m.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Seaton Cemetery Maintenance Fund in Dixon, MO.
All arrangements are under the care of the Null and Son Funeral Home of Rolla.
