BELLE — Summer school classes run through June 10 for Maries County R-2 students.
The program is open 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. District officials announced that all students attending summer school will receive free meals during the session.
In addition to classroom instruction, students will have an opportunity to visit the Belle Fair. According to information released by the district, the Belle Fair Board agreed to provide lunch for students at least one day during the community event. Classes will also walk to the park to tour the livestock barn and exhibit hall during school hours.
Transportation between Belle, Bland and Vichy is being provided through two district buses, serving students from multiple communities.
Bus No. 10 picks up Bland-area students at 7 a.m. at the railroad tracks behind The Rustic Garden and returns at 2 p.m. for drop off.
Bus No. 26 serves Vichy-area students, picking up at the Vichy Firehouse at 7 a.m. and before returning them at 2:15 p.m. for drop off.
District officials said both buses also provide pickup and drop-off service for students who reside along Highway 28 between all communities.
