Lola Pearl Hayes-Neudling (nee Miller), passed away Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, at the ripe old age of 104.
She was born Dec. 14, 1921, a daughter to Marcellus M. and Sophie Phelps Miller.
As the middle of 11 children who grew up on a farm in Osage County during the Depression era, she was very hard-working and extremely resourceful.
Lola was very active in her community, babysitting kids in her retirement, helping make sleeping mats for the homeless, traveling on mission trips, and so much more. She captivated everyone she met with stories of her life and will be greatly missed by all who ever had the pleasure to know her.
Lola was preceded in death by beloved husbands, George “Harold” Hayes and George Neudling; parents, Marcelllus and Sophie; son-in-law, Robert Ridenhour; grandson, Terry Ridenhour; and siblings, Rhoda Jett, Ruth Vogt, Chesley Miller, Lillian Hassler, Cleo Miller, Oneta Hassler, Nola Youngman, Bill Miller and Novella Delbruegge.
She is survived by children, Jo Ridenhour, Roy Cellus Hayes and Linda Blevins and husband Jim; grandchildren, Gary Ridenhour and wife Becky and Susan Krupa and husband Daniel; step-grandchildren, Laurel Belcher and husband John, David Blevins and wife Janice and Debra Besselman and husband Bill; brother, James Miller Peth; five great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and nine step-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 9, at Central Baptist Church in Eureka. Interment was at College Hill Cemetery in Osage County.
