Fans of Belle Lady Tiger and Tiger basketball were treated to a pair of winning seasons last winter with Jeff Schultz’s Tigers posting a 23-5 overall record and Biance Stock’s Lady Tigers finishing 16-12 in her first season in charge of Belle Lady Tiger basketball.

In spite of falling 73-59 to Fatima’s Comets in the district semifinals, Schultz’s Tigers had a historic season which included a 13-game winning streak spanning over three tournaments and two month of basketball.

The streak started during the Legends Bank Holiday Classic at Linn High School back in mid-December with a 54-38 victory over Tipton’s Cardinals in the third-place game.

Spending the most of the first half of January at home, Belle opened 2026 on the road in New Bloomfield with a 73-40 victory before winning a pair of home games over Iberia (71-46) and Chamois (83-29).

After a 56-38 road win at South Callaway, Belle Tiger basketball fans were treated to a rarity in high school boys basketball.

Reaching triple digits on the scoreboard, Belle handed Crocker a 103-50 loss before dispatching eventual district champion Dixon 68-66 on senior night.

Running their win streak to eight games, Belle opened Gasconade Valley Conference (GVC) play 61-43 road win at Cuba capping a GVC hoops tripleheader.

Hosting their annual tournament the following week, Belle ran the table with victories over Chamois (77-57), Newburg (89-71) and St. Clair (63-43).

Their win over Newburg avenged a 59-58 regular season loss to the Wolves back in early December prior to tournament action in Linn.

With their win streak now at 11 games, Belle looked to run it to 14 with another tournament title inside Hermann High School (HHS) during the Hermann Invitational Boys Basketball Tournament.

Turning back New Haven 60-42 and knocking off the host Bearcats 52-48, Belle earned a shot at St. James’ Tigers in a battle of red and white Tiger squads with championship hardware on the line at Hermann.

Seeing their win streak snapped at 13 games, Belle started a new one opening February with another triple-digit effort at Bourbon in a 112-22 victory over the host Warhawks.

Outside of a 69-64 overtime loss at Steelville, Belle closed their regular season with victories over Rolla’s Royals (79-65), Missouri Military Academy (68-53) and Fatima (61-51).

Their victory over the Comets in Westphalia avenged an early loss to Fatima during the Legends Bank Holiday Classic in Linn.

Opening districts against Bourbon, Stratman surpassed 1,000 points during his outstanding Tiger basketball career helping Belle to a 95-26 win over the Warhawks.

Stratman was not the only BHS basketball player to reach a scoring milestone.

Lady Tiger senior Anastyn Lansford surpassed 1,500 points during her illustrious basketball career.

Stock’s first win came in Belle’s home and season opener after a 71-29 victory over Tuscumbia’s Lady Lions on the Tuesday prior to the Thanksgiving Day holiday.

Opening December at the Eugene Invitational Girls Basketball Tournament, Stocks scored her first road win as Lady Tiger head coach with a 56-16 victory over Mack’s Creek in the seventh-place game.

Belle closed 2025 with victories over New Bloomfield (89-27) and Bourbon (47-29) while also falling 44-40 to the eventual district champion Dixon Lady Bulldogs on the road.

Starting the 2026 portion of their season with a 54-41 road win at Steelville, Belle’s Lady Tigers stayed in Crawford County competing in the Battle in Bourbon Invitational Girls Basketball Tournament.

Turning back Bourbon (60-24) and Steelville (46-32) in the first two rounds, Belle earned another shot at Dixon in the tournament title game.

Falling 43-40 to their Highway 28 rivals, Belle moved on in the tournament portion of their schedule the following week at Stoutland.

Taking third place with a 66-44 victory over Newburg’s Lady Wolves, Lansford shot her way into the record books hitting 24 consecutive free throws during tournament action at Bourbon and Stoutland throughout the month of January.

Clinching an outright GVC title following their 39-34 road victory at Cuba, Belle ended January with a 44-32 win over Eugene in the seventh-place game at the Russellville Invitational Girls Basketball Tournament.

Posting wins in February over Salem (46-38), Newburg (45-31) and South Callaway (58-34), Belle opened districts capturing their third victory over Bourbon 53-34 before Fatima ended their season in the district semifinals.
