Lady Tigers end regular season with home victory over South Callaway

Falling 49-34 last Thursday night against Vienna’s Lady Eagles in the annual Battle of Maries County girls basketball game, Biance Stocks’ Belle Lady Tigers looked to end their regular season the next night on a winning note hosting South Callaway’s Lady Bulldogs.

Leading 14-5 after one quarter, Belle doubled up the Lady Bulldogs 24-12 in the second quarter giving them a 38-17 halftime lead before going on to a 58-34 victory.

Natalie Lansford led three Lady Tigers in double figures netting 11 of her game-high 19 points in the second half.

Anastyn Lansford was close behind her younger sister with 18 points while Aubrey Rehmert rounded out Belle’s trio of double-digit scorers putting in 14 of her 16 points in the first half.

Saige Garner rounded out the Lady Tiger scoring against South Callaway scoring all five of her points in the first half.

In a two-quarter JV game between the Lady Tigers and Lady Bulldogs, Belle led 10-7 at halftime before holding on for a 16-14 victory behind 11 points from Natalie Lansford.

Makenna Lange added three points while Adelyn Struemph rounded out the JV Lady Tiger scoring with two points on a pair of second-quarter free throws.

Over in Vienna, Belle was able to stay withing single digits throughout the first three quarters of the game before being outscored 14-7 in the fourth quarter of their 49-34 loss to the Lady Eagles.

Anastyn Lansford led the Lady Tigers with 17 points followed by six points from Ava Feeler on a pair of third-quarter 3-pointers.

Garner added all five of her points in the second half while Natalie Lansford and Rehmert rounded out the Lady Tiger scoring with three points apiece.

Belle opened Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Class 3, District 8 Girls Basketball Tournament action Monday night at Steelville against Bourbon’s Lady Warhawks.
