Julia Czeschin, 101, Owensville, passed away Thursday, Dec. 25, 2025, Christmas Day, at Gasconade Manor in Owensville.
She was born May 10, 1924, to the late Vladimir and Sofie (Swlanowa) Baglei in Tschernigow, Ukraine.
She was united in marriage to Clarence August Czeschin Oct. 10, 1947, in Augsburg, Germany.
Julia was a member of College Hill Baptist Church outside of Belle.
She was preceded in death by husband, Clarence A. Czeschin; parents,Vladimir and Sofie; brothers, Ivan and Gregory Baglei; and sister, Efima.
Julia is survived by children, Clarence “Sonny” Czeschin and wife Susan of Owensville, Mike and wife Connie of Bland, Linda Calton and husband Ron of Nixa, Elly Roy and husband Bill of High Ridge and Donna Findlay and husband Tom of Columbia;11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville with Pastor Jack Kurrelmeyer officiating. Interment was in Countryside Memorial Gardens in Owensville.
Memorial contributions suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
