BELLE — The Jingle Belle Stroll has been relocated to the Belle High School for its Dec. 13 celebration out of concern for the weather. Organizers announced the change after monitoring forecasts that raised concerns about fluctuating temperatures and the comfort of those planning to attend. The start time of 10 a.m. remains unchanged.
According to Belle Community Betterment Association member Ashley Harris, the temperature was the leading factor in the decision. Moving the event indoors allows participants and visitors to enjoy the festivities without battling the elements.
“We want to keep all vendors and entertainment in mind when it comes to any event, specifically those that will be outside all day,” she said.
The relocation hopes to ensure the full slate of holiday activities can proceed as planned, giving vendors, performers and families a warm place to gather. While Alvarado Avenue has traditionally served as the home for holiday events, shifting the event to the high school this year will provide a more reliable environment should conditions continue to fluctuate.
