Gordon Edward Humphrey, 89, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026.
He was born on March 28, 1936, to the late Georgia (Leek) and Henry Edward Humphrey in Jefferson City.
He was united in marriage to Shirley Deckard on Sept. 22, 1956.
Ed served his country in the U. S. Navy.
He was employed with Highland Dairy, Dixon R-1 School District, Brown Shoe Company as well as doing construction and landscaping projects at Fort Leonard Wood and Lake of the Ozarks.
Ed was preceded in death by parents Georgia and Henry; brothers, Charles and Jackie Humphrey; and sister, Edna Hudspeth.
He is survived by children, Michael Humphrey and wife Missie of Newburg, Mark Humphrey and wife Rita of Jefferson City and Lisa Woodman and husband Cliff of Shipman, Ill.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Humphrey and wife Pearl of Dixon; and sister, Treva Brown and husband Steve of Dixon.
Funeral Services were held on Friday, Feb. 20, in the Gasconade Baptist Church in Dixon, with Rev. Josh Sutton and Rev. Cliff Woodman officiating. Interment was in the Gasconade Cemetery.
Memorial contributions suggested to the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home in Bridgeton.
