Jacob Walton’s Belle High School (BHS) track and field squads had spread out competition last week competing last Monday at Montgomery County and Friday at Waynesville.
At the Waynesville Invitational, sophomore Malachi Fredendall broke his own school record in the boys 400-meter dash with a fourth-place time of 51.52 besting his previous record time by over a full second.
Sprinting to a team point for the Tigers in the boys 4x100m relay in an eighth-place time of 49.94 was the Belle foursome of Braxton Ahart, Brice Robertson, Miles Frey and Timothy Schmid.
Robertson also finished in a three-way tie for eighth place in the boys high jump clearing 1.67m.
Trevor Frey (13th, 20.70), and Isaiah Spurgeon (15th, 22.53) competed for the Tigers in the boys 110m hurdles.
Wyatt Weller (19th, 7.66m) and Michael Spurgeon (20th, 7.10m) threw the shot put for Belle while Brayden Gibson (15th, 34.02m) and Jacob Penserum (20th, 17.26m) competed in the discus for the Tigers.
Brayden Barzee (14th, 34.13m) and Ahart (17th, 23.05m) competed in the javelin for the Tigers at Waynesville.
Waylyn Weller also placed 18th in the boys long jump for Belle.
Aubrey Rehmert led the Lady Tigers in Waynesville with a second-place throw of 38.53m in the girls javelin while Hayden Fann (16th, 17.03m) also competed for Belle.
Zoe Camden earned a Lady Tiger team point with an eighth-place time of 28.16 in the girls 200m dash.
Taking sixth in the girls 4x200m relay for Belle in a time of 1:58.84 was the team of Ellie Gray, Avaya Kitchen, Rehmert and Camden.
Also placing sixth in the girls 4x800m relay was the Lady Tiger foursome of Ellanor Kent, Allania Moore, Saylor Kent and Kenadie Bailey in a time of 13:01.04.
Kaylee Hazelwood also posted a 15th-place throw of 17.77m in the girls discus.
Last Monday at Montgomery County High School, Belle’s Lady Tigers scored 23 team points to finished tied for 11th in the girls team standings.
Rehmert won the girls javelin with a throw of 38.99m while Ellanor Kent posted a second-place time of 13:59.12 in the girls 3200m run.
Also picking up three Lady Tiger team points was the girls 4x400m relay team of Camden, Kitchen, Bailey and Lansford with a sixth-place time of 4:44.10.
Taking seventh in the girls 4x800m relay for Belle in a time of 12:47.70 was the quartet of Ellanor Kent, Saylor Kent, Bailey and Moore.
Chloe Jones narrowly missed the top 10 in the girls shot put with an 11th-place throw of 8.60m.
Along with Rehmert, Kennady Kinkead also placed 17th in the girls javelin with a mark of 21.28m.
Among Tiger relay teams, the boys 4x200m relay team of Connor LeRoux, Ahart, Robertson and Schmid scored a team point with their eighth-place time of 1:44.52.
Also placing eighth in a time of 3:52.23 was the Tiger 4x400m relay team of Connor Weigel, David Skaggs, Miles Frey and Fredendall.
Coltin Hazelwood posted the high individual finish for Belle at Montgomery County with a fifth-place time of 11:57.68.
Sprinting to a 12th-place time of 53.16 in the boys 4x100m relay was the Tiger quartet of Cason Taylor, Ahart, Robertson and Schmid.
Weston Doss (19th, 4.75m) and Waylyn Weller (24th, 4.17m) competed for Belle in the boys long jump.
BHS Track will return to action today (Wednesday) in the St. James Invitational track meet at St. James High School which was postponed from Monday due to forecasted severe weather.
They will also compete this weekend on Saturday at Cuba High School in the annual Gasconade Valley Conference (GVC) track meet with events beginning at 9:00 a.m.
