Everett Lee “Bud” Riemensnider, age 91, Iberia, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Osage Beach Rehabilitation in Osage Beach.
He was born on Aug. 4, 1934, son of the late George Ernest and Eva Tullis (Thomson) Riemensnider in Sleeper.
He was united in marriage to Helen Louise Rowden on June 14, 1958, in Iberia.
Bud proudly served in the U. S. Army until his honorable discharge on April 10, 1959. During this time, he demonstrated commitment and dedication to his country.
He spent many years as a truck driver for various companies and then as an independent driver hauling a variety of loads throughout his career.
Bud and Helen spent their first years of marriage in Fort Carson, Colo. before settling in Iberia.
He was a devout Christian and member of Fairview Christian Church in Iberia, where he remained active in the church community. Bud was highly respected in the community for his honesty, hard work and kindness.
He had an unconditional love for his family, especially his grandchildren.
Bud was preceded in death by wife, Helen; parents, George and Eva; brothers, Louis and Ralph Riemensnider; and sisters, Mary Florine Riemensnider, Helen Spoon and Sara Jane Mitchell.
He is survived by son, Bill Riemensnider and wife Dee of Iberia; daughters, Amanda Newhart and husband Dan of Eldon and Anne Slawson and husband Chip and Valerie Minnick and husband Todd, both of Iberia; grandchildren, Justin Riemensnider and wife Crystal, Luke Riemensnider and wife Holly, Garth Minnick and wife Cassandra, Isaac Minnick, Tyler Slawson and wife
Brittany and Kaylie Supancic and husband Jacob; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A Celebration of Life was held on Tuesday, April 14, at Fairview Christian Church in Iberia, with Randy Stohs officiating.
A private inurnment was held in Bethany Memorial Gardens near Crocker.
Memorial contributions suggested to Bethany Memorial Gardens.
