The Maries County Bank donated $1,500 toward the Eagles Club scholarship fund and a check was presented on Saturday night at the annual scholarship fundraiser. Eagles Club President Tom Eads said it was a successful event, raising $8,000. Eads said there was a good turnout and the auction items sold well with some good donations. The volunteer effort was good also. This year there are 10 scholarship candidates.
