Charlene Strope, 90, Rich Fountain passed away April 22, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Washington.
She was born Sept. 9, 1935, to the late Clara (Jansen) and Lloyd Andrews.
She was united in marriage to Francis Strope on Sept. 28, 2013, at the St. Alexander Catholic Church.
Charlene was very active in her community. She was part of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary of the 4th degree, past secretary to Bland/Belle Community Center 55+, involved with Odds & Ends, had previously helped at The Pantry in Belle and did home deliveries.
She looked after a lot of people. This matriarch will be greatly missed.
Charlene was preceded in death by parents, Clara and Lloyd; daughter, Linda; sister, Judy and husband Don; and brother-in-law, Steve.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Francis; daughters, Diane and husband Michael and Lana and husband Ron; sons, Tim, and Brad and wife Shannon; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren, to whom she was a caring babushka/grandma; and siblings, Bruce and Mary.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m., (today) Wednesday, May 13, followed by a Memorial Mass at St. Alexanders Catholic Church with Fr. Kane officiating. Inurnment will follow in the St. Michaels Cemetery near Bland.
