BELLE — The Bland Municipal Court was rescheduled on April 27 after severe weather and tornado warnings prevented court from being held during its regular session, according to a report from Court Clerk Julie Solan.
In the report presented for May, Solan said the court collected $2,454.69 in fines during April. Court proceedings were canceled due to tornado warnings and safety concerns and were moved to June 15, the next scheduled court date.
The report also said Christopher Crews of Belle will serve as a substitute judge because Judge Cody Holt will be unavailable.
According to the report, court funds distributed included $13 to the POST (Police Officer Safety Training) fund, $92.69 to the Crime Victims’ Compensation fund and $91 to the Court Automation Fund, which supports the Casenet and Show Me Courts software program.
After those distributions, the city retained $2,258.31 in fines.
According to the report there are currently 80 citations set for arraignment, 10 show cause cases involving failure to appear, four continued cases and one trial scheduled. There are also seven bond hearings pending.
In addition, the court currently has 12 failure to appear warrants issued.
