Beth A. Hill, 72, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, June 12, 2023, at SSM St. Mary’s surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on Dec. 21, 1950, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Vernon and Gladys (Renfrow) Helton.

She was united in marriage to James D. Hill, Nov. 5, 2021, after spending over 34 years together raising a beautiful family.

Beth was a lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, growing up in Vienna and graduating from Vienna High School in 1968. She settled in Jefferson City where she became a secretary for the State of Missouri and later private businesses until ill health forced her into retirement.

Beth was affectionately characterized by her family as an herbal enthusiast with a hippie soul. She was passionate about her flowers and plants, which was evident by her enchanting gardens. Cherishing moments with her loved ones, she devoted herself to creating joyful experiences for her family and children. With her imaginative spirit, she delighted her grandchildren by crafting exquisite fairy gardens. She found solace by the water and the atmosphere of pow-wows.

Beth will always be remembered as the family’s glue, providing unconditional love and support. She believed in you, even when you doubted yourself. Her essence left a trail of beautiful memories. Her loss has created a void felt by all whose lives she touched.
