BELLE — The Belle Municipal Court reported one case disposition and $2,197.00 in total disbursements during the monthly reporting period, according to the Municipal Division Summary Reporting Form submitted to the mayor and council by Court Clerk Lydia Devine.
The report, generated Feb. 9, is required under Missouri Supreme Court rules and must be submitted within 10 days of the end of each reporting month.
At the start of the reporting period, the court had 153 cases pending, including 107 other traffic cases and 46 non-traffic ordinance cases. No alcohol and drug related traffic cases were pending. No new cases were filed during the reporting period. One case was disposed of during the month under “Violations Bureau Citations (written plea of guilty) and bond forfeiture by court order” in the other traffic category. At the close of the reporting period, 152 cases remained pending, including 106 other traffic cases and 46 non-traffic ordinance cases. No jury trials, court or bench trials, dismissals or nolle prosequi actions were reported, and no trial de novo or appeal applications were filed.
The court reported no warrants issued during the reporting period, one warrant served or withdrawn and 53 warrants outstanding at the end of the reporting period.
Total excess revenue for minor traffic and municipal ordinance violations subject to the excess revenue limitation was $991.34, including $916.00 in fines, $73.09 in clerk fees and $2.25 for the Crime Victims Compensation Fund paid to the city. Other revenue not subject to the excess revenue limitation totaled $1,118.48, including $916.50 in fines, $76.37 in clerk fees, $12.46 for the Peace Officer Standards and Training surcharge, $88.81 for the Crime Victims Compensation Fund paid to the state, $2.34 for the Crime Victims Compensation Fund paid to the city or other and $22.00 for the Law Enforcement Training Fund. Total disbursements of costs, fees, surcharges and bonds forfeited were $2,197.00, of which $87.18 was listed under court automation. No bond refunds were issued.
