BELLE — Belle Marshal Jerry Coborn reported a total of 80 calls for service during his recent report to city officials on Feb. 25 during the rescheduled city meeting.
According to the figures provided, traffic stops accounted for the largest share of activity with 39 stops conducted during the reporting period. Coborn also reported seven calls for police service and five well-being checks, along with five follow-up investigations. Officers responded to three requests to assist other law agencies, three suspicious activity calls and three disturbances.
Additional activity included two security checks, two alarm calls and one extra patrol. Single-incident reports included property damage, telephone harassment, trespassing, a traffic complaint, destruction of property, an accident and an animal control matter.
Coborn also reported three domestic violence calls during the period. Arrest activity included six warrant arrests and one domestic arrest, for a total of seven arrests.
In addition to call response and arrest activity, Coborn issued seven ordinance violation letters, with all violations now reported as complied with and the issues corrected.
