The Visitation Parish Fall Festival committee reports feeding a total of 1,432 people at the annual dinner event on Sept. 26. A total of 616 people went inside the Knights Hall to get their dinner, which they could take outside or home, or they could dine in the air conditioned hall. More people, 816 of them, chose to use the handy drive-thru (photo below), which was quick and easy as the workers had a good system. Dennis Neier of Rich Fountain, (photo right) stirs the popcorn with the liquid in the kettle. Bear Trap Kettle Corn, Dennis and Diana Neier was one of the special vendors at Visitation Parish’s Fall Festival last weekend. Members of Visitation Parish (top) worked hard at the annual Fall Festival recently, cooking fried chicken and whole hog sausage with the fixings to feed over 1,400 people through both inside dining and drive-thru carry out.
