The Vienna City Council met in closed session on Monday, Aug. 30 and in a roll call vote the council members voted to terminate employment effective immediately of City Clerk Carrie Roberds.
This information was obtained from the city attorney Ross Bush. The council members declined to comment further.
Roberds began employment with the City of Vienna in October 2020, replacing a 12-year veteran to the job, Sherry James. James accepted employment with Hippos, LLC, the medical marijuana cultivation facility in Vienna.
