The public is cordially invited to be part of the First Annual Vienna Wine and Sausage Festival on April 30 at the Maries County Fairgrounds in Vienna. The event begins at 1 p.m. and culminates with the crowning of a sausage king or queen.
Besides a sausage cook-off, wine tasting workshop, cornhole tournament, live music, and beer, the Vienna Chamber of Commerce will be selling a bratwurst meal at the chamber’s “Wurst Food Stand.” Admission to the big event is $10.
The chamber board said Amy Neier graciously donated the hog for the sausage and Farmer’s Meat Market handled the butchering services.
The fairgrounds are located at 242 Ballpark Road in Vienna.
