That was the case Saturday for nine Belle Tiger weightlifters in two different competitions.
In the Missouri High School State Power lifting meet, Brayden Cadwallader placed third in the 145 pound weight class while Kaiden Robertson (175) and Cole Loughridge (225) both placed eighth in their respective weight classes.
Rance Horstman recorded a top-10 finish placing ninth at 165 pounds while Jon Valley placed 11th at 165 pounds in addition to having the top dead lift of the meet.
Also in Springfield Saturday, a foursome of Tigers coached by Butch Gehlert competed in an open power lifting meet at the Royal Barbell Club.
Placing first in their respective divisions were Carter Kinkead, Blake Henry and Callen Taylor.
Ty Honse also placed second in the same division as Kinkead.
In addition to his first-place division win, Kinkead recorded the highest weight total of the entire meet with 1,415 pounds.
Three months of preparation paid off for all nine Tigers.
