VIENNA — Dominic Struemph of Vienna, is bringing lawn care to a whole new level.
He knows the business, as in 2015 he graduated from State Technical College in Linn with a degree in grounds maintenance. He also has 14 years experience in the lawn care business as from age 12 he worked with his dad, Bruce Struemph, in his lawn care business, learning the ropes from the ground up.
Struemph Lawn Care is the Vienna Chamber of Commerce (VCOC) business of the month for March.
Struemph began working his lawn care business full time in 2017. He offers weekly and bi-weekly mowing, plus adds the services of aeration, fertilizer and weed control programs, leaf removal, mulching and mulch sales that include the mulch products of red, black, brown, cedar and kiddie cushion.
His beginnings in the business began when his was a 12-year-old working with his dad on lawns of homes and businesses throughout the area. He branched out with his own business in March 2017 while also holding down a full time job. In 2020, he quit the job in order to focus more on his business.
Struemph said he has lived in Vienna his entire life and he wanted to establish a business here in his hometown. He has a stake in this community and wants to see Vienna grow.
March is an appropriate month for Struemph Lawn Care to be the chamber’s business of the month as during march he has a “Mulch Madness Sale.” Struemph says, “It’s a great time to clean up your landscape beds and we have a variety of mulches to do the job.” During March his special is 10 percent off brown, black, and red mulch.
Struemph Lawn Care also can do more than mow lawns. For those who mow and take care of their own lawns, but don’t like mowing weeds and crabgrass all summer, he has a program that will work for them. “Our fertilization and weed control programs will greatly increase the thickness and health of your lawn,” he said.
