Robert Emerson Hohman Sr., 59, Dixon, passed away Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield.
He was born Oct. 26, 1961, to Roger Alan and Dorothy Jean (Emerson) Hohman, at Belleville, Ill.
He was united in marriage to Susan Elaine Walton, Aug. 21, 1987, at St. Louis.
Robert served as pastor of First Pentecostal Church of Dixon and then New Harvest Apostolic Church in St. Robert until the time of his passing. While in Dixon, he ministered to many prisoners and led the Turning Point Substance Abuse Class since 2009. Prior to his pastoral calling, he worked as a painter, taper and hung wallpaper for 22 years. He was a member of the Local Union 2341, St. Louis, since 1987 and the United Pentecostal Church International since 1992.
He was preceded in death by father, Roger; and step-father, Harold Lindsey.
He is survived by wife, Susan, of the home; mother, Dorothy Lindsey of O’Fallon; children, Robert Emerson Hohman II and wife Amber of Fenton, Heather Dalice Johnson and husband Corey of Lafayette, La., Haleigh Ranae Arroyo and husband Jordan of Tullahoma, Tenn., and Collin Bryce Hohman and wife Tiffany of Bryant, Ark.; siblings, Michael Hohman of Highland, Ill., Catherine Griffith of St. John and Christine Stout of O’Fallon; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Tabernacle of Praise Church, Rolla, with Rev. Stephen Willeford, Apostolic Pentecostal Church, St. Louis, officiating.
