Belle Fire Protection District and Bland Fire Protection District on Jan. 31 responded to a fire call at 36564 County Road 309A, Belle, to a structure fire. Neighbors came home to see the blaze and called in to report. However, by the time firemen arrived the structure was already on the ground and is considered a total loss. Neighbors said the house had been vacant for some time. Heat from the blaze caused damage to the nearby home.
