Rain did not stop the Maries County Fair in Vienna last Saturday as the promoters and the participants of the parade moved the parade back by one hour to give some time for the rain to pass. It continued to rain lightly off and on, but the parade was well received by the people who lined the streets. The VHS Eagle Pride Band members were wet, but their music sounded sweet. The only event canceled by the rain was the Classic Cruise-In. Rain was intermittent throughout the day. A good crowd showed up for the greased pig chase in the ag barn, which was a lot of fun for everyone. By the time the Ozark Mountain Daredevils took the stage on Saturday night, it was a beautiful, Maries County summer evening. More fair photos on pages 7, 8 , 9 and 10.
