The Maries R-1 School District has been approved to extend the waiver for free breakfast and lunches for students.
The waiver has been extended to the end of the 2020-2021 school year.
The program is sponsored by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Summer Food Service Program. Any school age child in the Maries R-1 School District may participate regardless if they are attending school virtually or in-seat instruction.
For every meal served is money the school gets back from the federal government. Only breakfast and lunch are free, the al la carte items are not.
Contact Amy Rowden at the school with questions regarding this program.
