Norman Everett Ragan, 84, Rolla, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021.

He was born June 3, 1936, to Everett Ragan and Edna (Bout) Ragan, in St. Louis.

He was united in marriage to Gail (Williams) Ragan, Aug. 21, 1960, in Rolla.

Norman was a 1954 graduate of Rolla High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1954-58. Following his service, he attended the Missouri School of Mines. He was employed at the U.S.G.S. and retired in 1993 after 35 years. Norman was the Past Master of both Lanes Prairie Masonic Lodge No. 531 and Rolla Masonic Lodge No. 213. He also served as the secretary of the Rolla Lodge for 32 years. He was a member of First Christian Church for 60 years serving as an elder and Sunday School teacher. He was also the Past Commander of the Korean War Veterans Association, Chapter 281, Rolla.

He is survived by wife, Gail, of Rolla; son, Chip Ragan and wife Peggy of Madison, Conn.; daughter, Teresa Zaner and husband Dan of Kansas City; sisters-in-law, Jackie Nelson of Independence and Carol Stevens of Blue Springs; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A Masonic service will be conducted at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, May 13, prior to the 6-8 p.m. visitation at Greentree Christian Church in Rolla where funeral services will be held Friday, May 14, at 10 a.m. Inurnment will follow in the Macdeonia Cemetery. Memorial contributions suggested to Greentree Christian Church.
