Since 1992, Maries Valley neighbors have had a progressive dinner. The yearly event gathers neighbors to visit and take turns hosting a different part of the dinner.
Nina Stratman, “mayor pro-tem” of the valley, has been organizing this every year. This year we welcomed our new neighbors, Mike and Margee Ball. It is an event to get acquainted and renew friendships with our neighbors. This year, it began with appetizers, then to one neighbor for soup and salad and ending with dessert at another one. There were 14 neighbors who enjoyed the evening. We also welcomed Carrie, Judy Yeary’s daughter from Germany and Sandy Eckert Stewart from Lake Winnebago. Others who enjoyed the event were Steve and Carol Steinman, Mary Wansing, Judy Yeary, Terry and Diane Sanderson, Laurence and Dorothy Buschmann and Gary and Nancy Stratman.
