Man with Belle family ties found in Lincoln County stabbed to death

Officials at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday afternoon reported no new updates in a case involving the fatal stabbing of a man with family ties to Belle.

Christopher Wright, 44, was found stabbed to death on Sunday following a call for a fight on Grizzlys Lane in Lincoln County.

“There has been nothing new to report since the media release,” said a man identified as the Lincoln County Undersheriff.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department responded to the call just after 4:30 p.m.on Jan. 17 and made the discovery. The Major Case Squad of St. Louis was called in to investigate.

Investigator’s have developed information and are asking the public for assistance in locating two persons of interest. They are identified as Alex B. Kersting, 24, and Monica L. Deroy, 41. The two were last seen operating a red 2007 Ford Taurus bearing Missouri license plate ZD2F8P.

The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis and Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department are asking anyone who knows the whereabouts of the individuals or has additional information to contact them at 636-528-6100.
