Linda Fay Walsch, 79, of Freeburg, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics.
She was born to Dorris Ray and Frances Catherine (Kuehn) Cross, June 11, 1941 in Poplar Bluff.
Linda was a sharecropper’s daughter and grew up working in orchards and picking cotton. She worked in a coffee factory in St. Louis and later worked for over 25 years at Westinghouse/ABB.
Linda was preceded in death by parents, Dorris and Frances; daughter: Jennetta Brandt and brother: John Cross.
She is survived by children: Kenneth Walsch and wife, Brenda of Crestwood, Christopher Walsch and wife, Lori of LaMarque, Texas, Sandy Mengwasser and husband, Dan of Freeburg, Steven Walsch and wife, Lisa of Freedom and Dianna Neier and husband, Dennis of Rich Fountain; sister, Rosalie Friend of Leasburg; brother: David Cross and wife, Kathy of St. Louis; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, April 13 at 1 p.m. at Hilke-Millard funeral Home. Private family inurnment will be held in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Rich Fountain at a later date.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Fountain of Life Family Worship Center.
