Laveda Mae Singleton, 99, of Vienna, passed away Dec. 21, 2024, at the Capital Region Hospital in Jefferson City, surrounded by her family.
She was born May 13, 1925, to Louis Vance Cunningham and Dora Cunningham in Qulin.
She was united in marriage to Bozie “BJ” Singleton, March 26, 1942.
Laveda was a member First Pentecostal Church of Vichy and Glad Tidings United Pentecostal Church of Vienna. Laveda was one of the founding members of the Glad Tidings United Pentecostal Church of Vienna.
She worked at the Langenberg Hat Factory in Vienna and for the Maries R-1 School district.
Laveda was preceded in death by parents, Louis and Dora; husband of 59 years, Bozie; brother, Kenneth Cunningham; son, Ike; daughter-in-law, Alice Singleton; son-in-law, Richard Ovitt; grandson, Eric Bellows; and granddaughters, Nicole Singleton and Lynda Kathleen Singleton.
She is survived by sister, Connie Peppers of Richland; sons, Walter (Mary) Singleton and Kenneth (Barbara) Singleton all of Vienna; daughters; Bernis (Bill) Hutcheson of Eagle Point, Ore. and Dora Joanne Ovitt of Vichy; eight grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 3, from 5–7:00 p.m., and Saturday, Jan. 4, from 9–11:00 a.m., in the Vienna Assembly of God, Vienna, with funeral service following at 11 a.m., with Rev. Kenneth Singleton and Rev. Michael Tucker officiating.
Interment will be in the Radar Methodist Cemetery, Vienna. Immediately following the graveside service all in attendance all invited to join the Singleton family for a meal at the Vienna Assembly of God.
