Laurissa Mae Reynolds, 89, Big Spring, passed away Friday, March 3, 2023 at StoneBridge Hermann.

She was born May 20, 1933, to the late John Stephen and Wilhemina “Minnie” (Franken) Kuster in Linn.

She was united in marriage to John E. “Eddie” Reynolds Nov. 25, 1954, at St. George Church in Linn.

Laurissa was a member of the Church of the Risen Savior in Rhineland.

She worked as a cook at the Big Spring Elementary School and Hermann Area District Hospital and later worked for the Blumer Funeral Home as a bookkeeper and then the Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, until her retirement.

Laurissa was preceded in death by husband, John; parents, John and Wilhemina; son, Mark Reynolds; and seven brothers and sisters.

Laurissa is survived by sons, John Reynolds Jr. and wife Sharon and Jim Reynolds and friend Audrey, all of Big Spring and Joe Reynolds and wife Carole of Forsythe; daughters, Anna Lee and husband Tom of Williamsburg and Joanie Pagel and husband Russ of Rolla; grandchildren, Michael Pagel of Affton, Heather Eck of Springfield, Kerri Lotven of Columbia, Tommy Lee of Boonville, Jenny Adams of Rolla, Jessica Stone of Washington, Ryan Reynolds of Colorado Springs, Colo., Alyssa Reynolds of Columbia, Madison Reynolds of Steedman and Jonathan Reynolds of Washington; great-grandchildren, Clara, Olive, Lucca, Laurel, Rhett, Owen, Maddy, Hannah and Ethan; brother, Joe Kuster of Jefferson City; sister-in-law, Ruth Marie Kuster of Linn; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, March 7, at St. Martin’s Church in Starkenburg with Father Philip Niekamp officiating.

Interment was in Baileys Creek Cemetery in Morrison.

Memorial contributions suggested to Baileys Creek Cemetery or Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows in Starkenburg.

Arrangements entrusted to Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home in Hermann.
