For Randis Sanders and the Belle Lady Tiger softball team, there will be little margin for error in 2021.

That is because there are currently only 10 players on the roster and it takes nine for a full team.

Leading the team will be one lone senior in Gracie Rehmert.

Rounding out a slim list of upperclassmen is lone junior Ryleigh Long for Lady Tiger softball.

Sophomores making up the majority of the team include Natalie Gehlert, Nevaeh Kinsey, Miranda Sanders and Emma White.

Freshman equaling the sophomores with four players include Illeana Sullinger, Savannah Perkins, Tajel McDaniel and Jailyn Schneider.

Belle will spend the entire August portion of their schedule on the road beginning with their season opener Friday in Pulaski County against Richland’s Lady Bears with a 5 p.m., first pitch.

With little time to recover, the Lady Tigers will turn around Saturday morning to compete in the New Haven Softball Classic starting at 8 a.m., in first-round action against the host Lady Shamrocks.

After a Tuesday, Aug. 31 road contest at California against the Lady Pintos, Belle will make their home debut on Wednesday, Sept. 8 against Gasconade Valley Conference (GVC) foe Cuba.

Additional home games for Belle during the month of September will include those against Owensville (9/13), Vienna (9/16), New Haven (9/27) and St. James (9/30).

Along with tournament action at New Haven, Belle’s other regular-season tournaments will be the Versailles/California Turf War Tournament (9/24-25) along with the Linn Tournament (10/1-2).

Belle will also find out their district fate on Friday.
