After Tim Simmons’ JV Eagles dropped a 51-47 overtime decision against New Bloomfield’s JV Wildcats, KC Curler’s Vienna Lady Eagles returned the favor with a 58-10 victory over the visiting Lady Wildcats.

Chandler Harker’s varsity Eagles looked to make it two victories for the black and gold during last Tuesday’s tripleheader in the varsity boys game.

Doubling their first-quarter point total in the second quarter, Vienna went into halftime facing a 35-28 deficit.

Zimmer added six second-quarter points giving him a team-high 10 first-half points for the Eagles.

Outscored 14-8 in the third quarter, the Eagles got two points apiece from Elias Miller, Waylon Lenning, Dylan Long and Zimmer to open the second half.

Teagan James netted seven of Vienna’s 12 fourth-quarter points before the Eagles suffered their first loss of the season.

In addition to Schwartze’s seven first-quarter points, Miller finished with six points.

Breaking up New Bloomfield’s bid for a tripleheader sweep, Vienna’s Lady Eagles raced out to a 17-0 lead after one quarter before cruising to a 58-10 victory to pick up their first notch in the win column.

Ella Hollis equaled her uniform number pouring in a game-high 23 points while Aubrey Schwartze joined her in double figures with 15 points.

Kenna Roberds nearly made it a trio of double-digit Lady Eagles finishing with eight points.

Aubrey Reeves and Jaedyn Schell each added four first-half points while Madison Weeks chipped in three points for the victorious Lady Eagles.
