An arrest warrant has been filed for Cody M. Egleston, 26, Stillwell, Kan., who has been accused of second-degree sodomy and child molestation, which took place at Bland.

Osage County Sheriff Mike Bonham said he believes Egleston has fled the state to Kansas.

According to a probable cause statement filed by Osage County Sheriff’s Deputy Dennis Sutton, the investigation began Aug. 4 when he was told Egleston had been soliciting sexual favors from a juvenile. During the interview, a second juvenile disclosed that he and Egleston had been engaging in sexual intercourse.

A forensics interview was conducted with the juvenile in which it was confirmed that the victim had been sodomized the day before in a barn next to the residence. The abuse had been occurring for approximately one year, at numerous locations on the property.
