Justin Michael Mercer, 35, of Bland, passed away Sept. 18, 2024, in Rolla.

Born July 28, 1989, Justin graduated from St. Clair High School, class of 2009. He worked as a maintenance technician for 12 years at Royal Oak Charcoal and most recently at LSC Communication, where he was highly regarded for his expertise and dedication.

Justin married the love of his life, Melissa Dearing, Aug. 5, 2017. Together they built a life centered around their family, raising their three children. Justin cherished time spent with his family and shared his love for the outdoors with them through his passion for hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed welding, always finding ways to create and improve things with his hands.

He was preceded in death by uncle, Randy Mercer; grandmothers, Deloris Vermillion and Deborah Vermillion; and great-grandparents, John and Cordilla Banderman.

Justin leaves behind devoted wife, Melissa Mercer (Dearing), and their beloved children: Madilynn (8), Morgan (5), and Tucker (3). He is also survived by grandparents, Earl and Wilma Fangers and Roger Vermillion; parents, Ronnie and Tammy Mercer (Vermillion); siblings, Tiffany Hedrick (Jonathan), Dakota Mercer (Jacqueline), and Megan Mercer (Zachary McFarland); along with nieces and nephews: Jayden, Trinity, Heidi, Charlotte, Hudson, and Bennett.

Justin’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His laughter and strength will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, Oct. 6, at the Belle-Bland Community Center, from 1–5 p.m.
