John D. Connors, 74, of Dixon, passed away Monday, Jan. 16, 2023, at his home.
He was born September 25, 1948, to John W. and Helen T. Cotter Connors in White Plains, N.Y.
He was united in marriage to Marge Fisher, Dec. 22, 1975.
John graduated from Brewster High School in 1968. He served in the U.S. Army from 1973–85. He was stationed in Korea and Germany, and also served with the Army Corps of Engineers emergency response team that was dispatched to Mount St. Helens (Washington) after its eruption in the early 1980s. He served as an Army recruiter in Ohio and finished his military career as an SFC at Fort Leonard Wood. After his retirement from the Army, John served as a rural carrier for the U.S. Post Office for nine years.
He is survived by wife, Marge; daughters, Karin (Loren) Wille of Kiel, Wis., and Laura Connors of Laquey; and two grandchildren; and sister Kathy Connors.
John will be laid to rest at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery Ft. Leonard Wood. There will be no services.
