Joann Brewer, 81, Fordland, formerly of Owensville, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025.
She was born Aug. 28, 1944, to the late James L. and Avis Ray (Burkeen) Ruth in Enville, Tenn.
She was united in marriage to Oliver Eugene Brewer Dec. 2, 1962, in Carthage.
Joann loved her Lord and her family. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Owensville.
She enjoyed being outside gardening and working in her flower bed.
Joann was preceded in death by husband, Gene; parents, James and Avis; brother, Max Ruth; and grandson, Mark Anthony Brewer, Jr.
She is survived by children, Charlotte Cunningham and husband Andrew and Johnnie Brewer and wife Angie, all of Owensville, Teresa Jones and husband Michael, Patricia Brewer and Mark Brewer, all of Fordland and Amanda Moreland and husband Philip of Bourbon; siblings, Donald, Harold, Calvin and Michael Ruth, Brenda Woodland, Linda Brewer and Glenda Smith; grandchildren, Sheila Rodriguez and husband Brandon, Levi Cunningham and wife Emily, Brittany Viehmann and husband Richard, Abigail Watson and husband Josiah, Erica Brewer, Raquel Burgess and husband Chris, Paul Brewer, Trey Hubble and wife Rayonna, Isaiah Brewer and wife Krista, Kimberly Payne and husband Drew and Brandon Moreland; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 3, at Gottenstroeter Chapel with Pastor Les Dority officiating. Interment was in the Owensville City Cemetery.
