Jim (Robert James Herbert) Ridenhour, 82, Belle, went home to be with the Lord Nov. 19, 2021, at his home.

Jim was born Oct. 13, 1939 to Herbert and Pearl (West) Ridenhour.

He was united in marriage to Judy Mitchem June 23, 1963, at Pilot Knob Baptist Church and had four children.

Jim spent his entire life in the Belle area and worked for the railroad for 43 years until he retired in October of 2001.

During his younger years, he loved spending time on the Gasconade River and putting out trot lines. Another favorite past time was hunting deer. Once his great-grandchildren arrived, spending time with them became his favorite past time. Jim loved them dearly.

Jim was preceded in death by parents Herbert and Pearl; son Jerry Lynn Ridenhour; brothers Hadley Mac Ridenhour and Ronnie Lee Paul Ridenhour; and sister Shirley Hazel Ridenhour.

Jim is survived by wife Judy of the home; daughter Tina and husband Ward Sooter of Bland; sons Paul and his wife Sherry and Clay and Jill Reck all of Belle; brothers Stanley and wife Della of High Gate and Gary and wife Cathy of Belle; sister Audrey Holliday and husband Melvan of Russellville; sister-in-law Deanna Ridenhour of Belle; six grandchildren Meagan Lewis and husband Derek of Belle, Whitney Sooter of Belle and fiancé Gary Hitch of St. James, Nathan Ridenhour and wife Brittany, Dalton Ridenhour and wife Shelby of Belle, Cheslee Ridenhour of Belle, and Nolan Ridenhour of Belle; five great-grandchildren Emilyn, Liam Kaylor and Huxley Lewis and Brooklyn Ridenhour; and many extended family members and friends. He will be missed greatly by his family.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 23, at the Pilot Knob Baptist Church, Belle. Interment was in the church cemetery.
