Jerry William Milligan, 84, of Dixon, passed away April 9, 2021, in Phelps Health, Rolla.

He to was born to Dr. Kenneth William and Guida Mae (Jackson) Milligan, January 18, 1937, at Dixon.

He was united in marriage to Miss Wanda Lurinda Martin, December 26, 1956, at First Baptist Church, Dixon.

Jerry was a member of First Baptist Church, Dixon, and of the church choir, a Sunday school teacher, and was ordained a Deacon of the church March 28, 1976, until he acquired Deacon Emeritus status. For most of his working life, Jerry was employed by Alltel Telephone Company, Dixon, and attained the position of Engineering Plant Coordinator at retirement.

He was preceded in death by son, Joel Brady Milligan; parents, Kenneth and Guida; brothers, Robert James “Doc” Milligan, and infant Donald Milligan; and sister, Joan Hambrick.

He is survived by wife, Wanda Milligan, of the home in Dixon; son, Daniel W. and wife, Tammy Milligan, Dixon; daughter, Kerri and husband, Craig French, Rolla; daughter-in-law, Tracey Milligan, Nixa; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 12, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, in Dixon with Pastor Jack Caple of First Baptist Church, Dixon, and Pastor Charles S. “Chuck” Baker of Cornerstone Baptist Church, Richland officiating.

Interment was in the Dixon Cemetery, under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon.
