Jerome Casper Reinkemeyer, 92, Argyle, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 21, 2022, at his home with family at his side.

He was born Oct. 9, 1929, the son of the late Lawrence and Anna (Steinman) Reinkemeyer in Argyle.

He was united in marriage Oct. 25, 1958, in St. Martins to Margaret Augusta (Distler) Reinkemeyer who preceded him in death Sept. 11, 2018.

Jerome completed 8th grade at the Argyle School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1952-1954.

He was a farmer taking over the family farm from his father and worked various places in mechanical and small engines work. For several years he was the owner and operator of Stoney Point Small Engines. Through this business he made many friends and was proud of his ability to provide this service to the community. Many times, you could find him taking care of a customer late in the evening or even on a Sunday to get them back up and running.

Jerome loved to fish and spent many Sunday afternoons fishing in the Maries River below the house. He enjoyed playing pitch and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He was a member of the St Aloysius Church and the Argyle Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by wife Margaret, of 59 years; parents Lawrence and Anna; sisters Georgena Huhman and Gerri Lock; brothers Wilfred and Joseph (infant); brothers-in law Leonard Buschjost and Felix Juergensmeyer; sister-in-law Marcella Reinkemeyer; and granddaughters Tiffany Mebruer and Makayla Plassmeyer.

He is survived by children Carol (Kenny) Krieg, Linda (Don) Mebruer all of Rich Fountain, Joan Reinkemeyer of Jefferson City, Lisa Bullock (Derek Stuecken) of Freeburg, Jeralyn (Mike) Siebeneck of Westphalia, Gary Reinkemeyer of Argyle, Glen (Tasha) Reinkemeyer of Jefferson City, Paula (Scott) Berhorst of Wardsville, Kathy (Matt) Plassmeyer of Westphalia; grandchildren Mitchell Krieg, Megan (Stephen) Campbell, Shawn (Kristin) Mebruer, Whitney (Brian) Blauvelt, Cassandra Backues, Kristin (Caleb) Groner, Clayton (Ariel) Bullock, Candace (Efraim) Arcaya, Cadi Bullock, Carson Bax, Ryan Mebruer, Morgan Berhorst (fiancé Will Robertson), Macy Berhorst, Hunter Reinkemeyer, Madison Berhorst, Connor Reinkemeyer, Chase Plassmeyer, Kaitlyn Plassmeyer; extended grandchildren Colin Stuecken, Chelsea (Jesse) Hughes, Paige (Jake) Deppe; great-grandchildren Emersyn, Abel, Khloe, Rokzen, Ezden, Emma, Emmett, Easton, Wyatt, Henry, Charlie, Whitley and another due in September; siblings Genevieve Juergensmeyer of Koeltztown, Marvin Reinkemeyer of California, Julie Buschjost, Mary Meinhardt, Dedie (Dick) Otke, and Rosie (Ralph) Dulle all of Jefferson City, and Liz (Tony) Grosso of Paris, Texas; and brothers-in-law Donald Huhman and Gary Lock.

A Mass of Christian burial was held Tuesday, April 26, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Argyle, with the Rev. Gregory Meystrik officiating.

Burial was in St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery with full military honors.

Memorials suggested to Central Missouri Hospice, Argyle Fire Department and First Responders, or the Central Missouri Honor Flight.
