Jean Asher, 87, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020, in Jefferson City.
She was born May 21, 1933, to Charly and Ethel Swarthout.
She was united in marriage to William “Bill” Asher.
Jean worked alongside her husband, Bill, as an office manager at William Asher Associates of Tulsa, Okla., in the 70s and 80s. She later worked at Dave’s A&G from 1988-1994 prior to her final retirement. She was a member of Vienna/Rader United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by parents, Charly and Ethel; husband, Bill; son, Timothy; and brothers, Charles, Tom and Harry Swarthout.
She is survived by sister, Alice Holmes; brothers, Don Swarthout and wife Wanda and Dave Swarthout and wife Kay; daughter, Diane King; son, Jon Asher and wife Patty; and five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life and graveside service will be held at a later date at Vienna/Rader United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions suggested to Rader United Methodist Church and Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund or to the Loaves and Fishes food pantry in Vienna.
