Janine L. Schuman, 54, of Belle, passed away Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024.
She was born Dec. 22, 1969, a daughter to the late Buddy and Ruth (Gray) Barnes in Denison, Texas.
She graduated from St. Genavive High School in 1989, and was employed at Anheuser-Busch in St. Louis before retiring.
Janine was united in marriage to Steven Schuman, Aug. 25, 2000, in Eureka Springs. Steven survives of the home.
Janine enjoyed antique shopping, doing arts and crafts, playing board games like Monopoly and Sorry, and sitting on her front porch drinking Dr. Pepper and visiting with friends. Janine had a kind heart, was always willing to help out others in need, and her faith in God was strong. She was a huge animal lover and her best times were times spent with her family.
Janine was preceded in death by parents, Buddy and Ruth; and nephew, Jeremy Obar.
She is survived by husband of 24 years, Steven; son, Brandon Schuman of Jefferson City; daughter, Stefanie Rubio and husband Victor of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Anthony and Joseph “JoJo” Rubio; sisters, Wylene Janzen and husband Larry of Madison, Ala., and June Obar of Madison, Ala.; nephews, Terry Obar, Aaron Obar and Wendell Janzen; niece, Stormy Janzen; cousin Debra Schlagel; and dog, Cody; as well as many nieces, cousins extended family members and friends.
Visitation for Janine will be Wednesday (today), Nov. 20, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Sassmann’s Chapel in Belle, funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Interment will be in the Belle City Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sassmann’s Chapel, Belle.
