Jackie Eugene “Jack” Bartle, 83, passed away Nov. 8, 2021, at Phelps Health Hospital in Rolla.
He was born Nov. 30, 1937, to Otha and Mildred (Keasling) Bartle.
He was united in marriage to Lola Mae Happle Aug.12, 1960.
Jack attended elementary school at Flag Springs School and St. James High School before joining the U.S. Air Force in Barksdale, La. He became a union plumber and worked in St. Louis, Jefferson City and Ft. Wood. In 1985, he started his own business “Jack Bartle Plumbing and Electric.” Jack officially retired in 2016, he passed the torch to his sons, this thriving business is now known at Bartle Plumbing LLC.
Jack was preceded in death by parents Otha and Mildred; stepmother (who raised him) Lorea; wife Lola; infant sister Margaret; and brother Gene Bartle.
He is survived by sons Marvin and wife Debbie Bartle of St. James, and Scott and wife Kimberly; sister Claudine (LaVerne) Parrish and brother David Bartle and wife Pat all of St. James; and four grandsons.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 12, at Jones Funeral Home with Douglas Lane and Micah Bartle officiating. Interment followed at Miles Cemetery.
