Jack Glenn McQueen, Owensville, passed away at his home Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022. He had reached the age of 69 years and eight months.

He was born Jan. 4, 1953, to the late Wilfred and Mary Warner McQueen in Rolla.

He was united in marriage to Jan Thompson, June 14, 1990, in Linn.

Jack was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Bem, Owensville Moose Lodge, Masonic Lodge #624; the Ozark Shrine Club and a 50 year member of Owensville Gun Club. He was also a retired fire fighter with the Owensville Fire Dept.

He spent most of his days in and around cars, selling his first car at the age of 12. He worked for Carroll-Rehma most of his adult life as he enjoyed selling Chevrolet cars. He enjoyed his time on the lake spending many hours on his pontoon with his family. Every Sunday was spent grilling pork steaks and the table was always open for whoever wanted to come by and eat. He always enjoyed a glass of wine and a good cigar with family and friends. He loved hunting, shooting and watching car racing, especially the Daytona 500.

He is survived by wife Jan of their home; children Phillip Thompson and wife Lindsay, Brooke Johnson and husband Adam and Patrick Thompson and wife Paula; sisters Sue Brune and husband Mike and Penny Freie and husband Gary; and grandchildren Jay, Drew, Parker, Brenner, Carly, Ross, Halle, Ryleigh, Ellah and Braxton.

Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 8, from 4–7 p.m. at Gottenstreoter Chapel, Owensville, with Masonic service at 7 p.m. He will be entombed in Gottenstroeter Mausoleum.
