Injuries reported in two Highway 63 crashes
MARIES COUNTY — Two crashes on Highway 63 in Maries County last week injured motorists in the area.
A single-vehicle crash on Highway 63 at Route AA on March 25 injured a man from Vienna.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred at 4:06 p.m. when unsecured cargo in a southbound 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by a 42-year-old man from Vienna moved forward while the driver was negotiating a curve. The driver lost control of the vehicle, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a road sign and an electrical pole.
The driver sustained moderate injuries. Maries-Osage Ambulance District transported him to Phelps Health in Rolla.
The crash totaled the vehicle. Fast Lane Towing removed it from the scene.
Another crash occurred on Highway 63 on March 26 resulting in injuries to two people.
According to the MSHP report, the crash happened at 4:57 a.m. south of Maries Road 302 when a northbound 2024 Chrysler Pacifica driven by a 48-year-old man from De Soto traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment.
Two passengers, a 33-year-old man from Sainte Genevieve and a 58-year-old man from Doe Run, sustained minor injuries. They went to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City for treatment.
The driver reported no injuries. The vehicle sustained moderate damage.
